A twist on Mystery Reader

First graders in Mrs. Rogers’ class got to experience a twist on mystery reader. Mrs. Rogers has as a student, the daughter of the ITRT at Hermitage High School. We coordinated with the high school ITRT and had the students in the theater class at the high school become mystery readers for the first graders. Several students in the theater class read their favorite childhood story using Google Hangout. Both the high school and first grade students had a great time! We are possibly planning having the first graders share their reader’s theater with the high school theater class in a couple of weeks using Google Hangout again. Google Hangout is a great way to connect with others despite location. Stay tuned!
