Coding Elapsed Time

Elapsed time can be tricky! “How long has it been?” is an important question to be able to answer but figuring out the answer to that question has proved to be challenging. Students in Mrs. West’s class at Short Pump Elementary decided the best way to explain elapsed time was to do so by explaining their own days! Using their student accounts in  Scratch, each student created their own stories explaining what time they wake up, what time they arrive at school and finally how long that takes. Students coded their backgrounds, sounds and speech bubbles for each section! Once they were done, they uploaded them to this studio. Check out their stories!
