December 11, 2017 Welcome!
It’s hard to believe that Winter Break is almost here!
We are continuing our discussion of economics (goods, services, being a wise consumer, and wants and needs) this week. We will be making this skill come alive for our students this week as our ‘elves’ will be busy producing some goods to sell and buy! We will all become producers and consumers!
In math, we will concentrate on comparing numbers. We will focus on such things as one more/less and 10 more/less, and other comparison words like fewer than, greater than, etc. We will also focus on place value concepts and expanded form.
We continue to develop our reading skills each day! Please listen to your child read each night –ask them to summarize the story and make sure they are understanding new vocabulary that they encounter.
We will be very busy this week with many fun events! We hope to see you stop in at our Winter Party on December 14th at 12:45 PM. If you have signed up to help or donate items, please be sure to mark your calendar!
