A small group from Ms. Taylor’s class typed stories about winter.  Some typed about the snow days we had and building snowmen.  One student typed about his first time sledding.  Students learned how to use Pages.  They also inserted pictures that went with their stories.

Baker January 20, 2010

Ms. Bell’s second grade students review the Native American tribes.  They sorted pictures to tell the difference between the Sioux and Powhatan tribes.  They found pictures that would go with the Sioux, Powhatan, and Pueblow tribes.

Fair Oaks January 12, 2010

Baker December 16, 2009

Mrs. Cauthorne’s fourth graders did a Pixie project today that focused on adjectives.  Students had to draw a snowman and then use as many adjectives as they could to describe their snowman.  Check out their beautiful pictures and descriptive sentences.

Fair Oaks December 15, 2009

Today the fourth graders in Mrs. Axtell’s class worked on descroptive writing.  The students used winter pictures and put them into Comic Life.  Then they wrote the most descriptive sentence they could third of about each pictures.  How many adjectives can you think of to describe winter?

Sandston December 2009

Mrs. Moore and Ms. Beagle’s kindergarten classes were learning about senses.  The students created a Pixie page and labeled a picture of themselves and all of their senses.  I then put all of their pictures into a slide show.  Look at how great the kindergartners look!
