4th Grade Civil War Comics
The fourth graders in Mrs. Goode’s class at Varina Elementary used Comic Life to create comic book pages dealing with the Civil War. They added pictures and explained what the pictures were about through speech bubbles and narration boxes. They really enjoyed using the program.

Mrs. Cook had both of her science classes make a Comic Life for Aristotle, Ptolemy, Copernicus, and Galileo. She got cute pictures of babies and a dog to “speak” with these scientists. What a cute idea, and these turned out great. Click here to download this template.
Longan 5th grade Podcasts
The fifth graders created podcasts dealing with sound at Longan. They collaborated in small groups and communicated what they knew about sound. They drew examples of sound concepts in Pixie and imported their pictures into their podcasts to illustrate what they knew about sound. Varina 3rd grade video conference with Mehfoud
The third graders in Mrs. Caird’s class read stories to a kindergarten class from Mehfoud… by video conferencing! They acted out “The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig” and “The Little Red Hen” for the kindergarten students. We all had a great time and hope to be able to do it again!!
