Green Screen Fun with Do Ink!

Mrs. Vick (librarian) and Mrs. Hamilton (4th grade teacher) at Echo Lake Elementary reached out to me about wanting to create weather videos using a green screen app. Mrs. Vick had done some research and found that “Do Ink” had the best reviews. This app does cost money $2.99. If you are interested in purchasing this app for your iPads check with admin and see if they have some available funds. There are some free green screen apps we can test out as well.

The students spent time researching different types of weather and worked in groups to create a script. Then they came to the library and recorded themselves in front of the green screen. Huge thanks to HCPS Instructional Technology for letting us borrow the green screen for this project.

Do Ink is super simple to use. You save the image you want as your background to the camera roll, then you record from within the app. Once your video is ready you pull in the image and preview the video. Exporting is a breeze and your final copy is saved to the camera roll. Check out some of their finished products.
