Using Stop Motion to Animate Plot!

Today in Mrs. Pope’s class at Glen Allen Elementary School we used the app Stop Motion Studio to animate the plot of a story.  We started the lesson by showing the kids how to use the app and stressed the importance of taking a lot of pictures when making your video.  The students paired up and read a very short, simple book and discussed the plot with their partners.  Next, the students drew the characters and setting on paper using crayons and cut out their props.  Once they had everything cut out they were ready to use the app to make their very own stop motion video!  Each group did a great job taking pictures and making small movements with their props to get a real stop motion video effect.  Check out a couple of examples below!
