All About Me Tagxedo

The 1st grade students in Ms. Long’s class created a word cloud using Tagxedo to introduce themselves. Prior to our lesson, students jotted down words that have meaning to them (family members, favorite food, hobbies, etc.). Then they logged onto the computer and went to tagxedo.com (this site works best in Internet Explorer). Students typed in the words that they had generated, and selected a shape and color theme of their choice.


To send their work to their teacher, they used the Work Collector link in server shortcuts. To create a work collector for your own class, follow these directions. Using the work collector, students click on the link, type their name, and upload the file. The files are uploaded directly to the teacher’s Google Drive account.
