The students in Mrs. Beam’s 5th Grade class conducted research on the different styles of poetry. Upon completion of their research, they presented the style of poetry they studied to the class. Then students had the opportunity to select a style of poetry that appealed to them and write their own original poem. Finally, they were able to select any program or web 2.0 tool that they wanted to use to bring their poem to life. Check out a sampling of their finished poems:
