The students in Ms. Robinson’s class have been studying money in math. As a review, we played a game on Kahoot. Kahoot is an engaging student response system in which students can answer from their laptop and get immediate feedback. After all students have answered the question, or after the time runs out, the students are told whether or not they got the answer right and the correct answer is projected on the board. Kahoot keeps track of who is in the lead by tracking who answers first and who answers correctly during each round. They love racing to take the lead and working hard to make sure they have the right answer. Students play the Kahoot by going to kahoot.it and entering the code provided by the teacher. To search for Kahoots to use with your class, go to getkahoot.com. There are a variety of games already created, or you can make your own. After the session is over, the teacher can download a spreadsheet of every students answer for each question straight to their Google Drive account and use that data to plan for future lessons.
