The students in Mrs. Harlow’s 4th grade class have been working on computation of fractions with unlike denominators. They participated in a Nearpod lesson in which they learned a new strategy for solving these types of problems by watching a video tutorial created on Educreations. After that, students had an opportunity to use the drawing tool to show how they would solve this problem and then send it to their teacher. They also had a short quiz at the end of the lesson. This provides valuable data for the teacher and gives immediate feedback to the students.
