The students in Ms. Catlett’s 5th grade class have been studying sound in their matter unit. We used Nearpod today to explore how sound is produced, different pitches that we can hear, and how sound travels. Within this Nearpod there were opportunities for students to draw to demonstrate their understanding, explore with virtual manipulatives on interactive websites, and watch short video clips to learn the vocabulary. The students especially loved hearing about pitch from Mr. C the ITRT’s Sound Studio.
