Cell Projects with ChatterPix

The student’s in Mrs. Fitzer’s 5th grade class at Greenwood had a take home project in which they created a model of either a plant cell or animal cell. Their only requirements were to include the basic parts of the cell and be able to explain their function within the cell. Being provided the opportunity for creativity, the students really rose to the occasion and came up with some really well thought out and unique products. To bring their projects to life, the students used the ChatterPix app on the iPad to make each cell part “talk” and explain it’s function within the cell. After recording and saving on the iPads, the students used Send Anywhere to transfer the video clips to their laptop. Then they used Windows Movie Maker to piece the clips together into a complete video. They published their video to the desktop and then uploaded it to Google Drive so they could share with their teacher. Take a look at some great examples from yesterday:
