Parts of the Ocean Floor with Nearpod

I had the opportunity to attend professional development on Monday morning with a representative from Nearpod. One of my schools, Montrose, just won a HEF grant for Nearpod licenses and iPads, so I was eager to learn more about the full possibilities of Nearpod.

This is an awesome interactive tool that allows teachers to completely engage their students in every lesson using a variety of teaching tools. If you Google “What is Nearpod”, here’s how they describe what Nearpod is:
“Nearpod is an interactive presentation and assessment tool that can be used to amazing effect in the classroom. The app’s concept is simple. A teacher can create presentations that can contain Quiz’s, Polls, Videos, Images, Drawing-Boards, Web Content and so on.”

Here is a presentation I created for my 5th grade teachers as they teach and review the parts of the ocean floor. If you want to see this in action, please sign up for a lesson so I can show you and your students this amazing teaching tool!
