Today 2nd Grade students read Diary of a Fly, Diary of a Worm, or Diary of a Spider by Doreen Cronin. The students accessed these story books from TumbleBooks through OneSearch. These are great stories that can be accessed from school or home. While reading the character’s diary, the students paused the book and summarized the event to put on the calendar for that character. This was great practice with reading for the main idea and summarizing text. The students worked with a partner to complete this task and did a great job!
