Welcome back everyone! I have enjoyed seeing everyone’s smiling faces this week 
I am excited to announce that the ITRTs are going to be bringing you an INCREDIBLE new resource called Math on the Spot. We want to provide students with REAL WORLD experiences that relate to math. Our site will help build your students’ background knowledge and hopefully make learning math FUN and relevant to everyday life. We created our first video about probability/combinations. Who wouldn’t want to learn about probability when it happens at SWEET FROG? Billy, the owner of Sweet Frog on Staples Mill, was so gracious to host our very first Math on the Spot video shoot. A few weeks ago we just found out that the Instructional Technology team received a HEF grant to buy video equipment for our new endeavor. WATCH out..all I can says is the BIKE RACE might be next (distance, elapsed time, measurement…)
Math on the Spot is a website that will have pretty designer topic buttons made by yours truly, Matt Caratachea. When you click on a specific button it will take you to a movie and a Google folder with techie activity to practice the particular skill that is demonstrated in the movie.
