3rd Grade Keepsakes Using Word Clouds

Students in Mrs. Chitman’s 3rd grade class created end of the year keepsake word clouds using Tagxedo. Tagxedo provides a wide variety of pictures to customize your word cloud. However, Mrs. Chitman wanted something more personal. Since her class is in third grade, I created a picture with “3rd” for the children’s image. First, the class took turns typing in an adjective or phrase on each of their classmates’ computers. I then showed the students how to import the “3rd” image and change the theme, color, and font. They had a lot of fun customizing their word clouds. Below are several finished examples:
