Kindergarten Insect Selfies

Today in Mrs. Rademacher’s kindergarten class at Kaechele Elementary we turned ourselves into insects!  The students had just finished learning all about insects so we used PicMix to have a little fun.  Mrs. Rademacher gathered a handful of pictures for the students to use and put them in a Google folder.  I made a QR code to the folder that the students could easily scan using the iPads.

When the students chose the picture of their insect they saved it to the camera roll.  Next, the students took a quick selfie using the iPad.  The students then headed over to the PicMix app to smash the pictures together.  PicMix is a photo editing app that is SUPER fun and easy enough for kindergarten students to use!  The students used the app to erase the background of their selfie and resize their face.  Once everything looked good the students saved the new picture to the camera roll and then sent it to me using the Google Work Collector.  We had a blast doing this fun activity!
