Today 1st graders at Glen Allen Elementary and Echo Lake Elementary did a Google Hangout in which they ALL played the same 1st grade review Kahoot game. ITRT Mrs. Smith worked with Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Waite while I worked with Mrs. Rilee. The Glen Allen first graders invited the Echo Lake first graders to a Google Hangout. The kids were SO excited to see each other and say hello.
Next, GAES shared their screen with ELES so everyone could see the same questions. Students signed into laptops and played the 10 question review game. All first graders really proved they knew their stuff! It was great that our ONE Kahoot game was played by THREE different first grade classes at the SAME time!
After we played our game, students had a mini question and answer session “on air”. My favorite questions were “Is there really a lake called Echo?” and “Do you know what 100+100 is?”. Other questions consisted of “What is your school mascot?” and “What are ALL of your names?” They were SO cute!!
