Shady Grove’s Book Celebration

Shady Grove Elementary, Nuckols Farm Elementary, and Short Pump Elementary held their annual Book Celebration last Friday. It was hosted by the awesome librarians at these schools. The students came together to celebrate their accomplishments by playing fun games, creating technology projects about books they read, and had an opportunity to dance the day away. ITRTs David Clough and Alfonso Favale were DJs for the event. Below is a video of the technology creations the students created. The station I led had the children use an Instagram template to create their favorite book character and setting. The station that David and Alfonso led had the children create book spine poetry using the ipad app called Tellagami. The boys and girls from these schools had a blast!
