Today Mrs. Ketcham’s 2nd graders made animated gifs to tell a QUICK little story about Ancient China. Matt Caratachea (Mr. C), was requested by her class to come to Crestview Elementary so he helped plan and carry out this lesson with us!
First, students opened a shared Google Doc and brainstormed different terms associated with Ancient China. Students used this doc to copy and paste the different terms into Britannica Image Quest. They found pictures of the various terms and saved them to their desktop. Also, we used ABCya Paint to create a title image to start our gif. At the end, students compiled their title image and the pictures they found by uploading them to the site, GifMaker.me.
