Mrs. Proffitt’s first grade class at Donahoe Elementary are reviewing their addition and subtraction skills. To integrate technology, I introduced them to the Shadow Puppets app on the ipads. Mrs. Proffitt made story mats and had manipulatives to accompany them. After the children took a photo of each mat using the ipad’s camera, they then uploaded the photos to Shadow Puppets. There, they recorded their voices reading their story problems. Some examples are below:
