Talking Groundhogs at Fair Oaks Elementary!

Yesterday we celebrated Groundhog Day at Fair Oaks Elementary School. Apparently Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and we can expect to see about six more weeks of winter. Third grade students spent some time yesterday researching woodchucks and making short videos with talking groundhogs. The students started by accessing PebbleGo and recording 4-5 facts about groundhogs on their research graphic organizer. We then accessed a CoMemories site and selected our groundhog image. We saved that image to the camera roll on the iPads and brought it into the ChatterPix app. The students recorded themselves pretending to be the groundhog and shared the facts that had researched. Check out some of their videos.
