Ms. Nicholson’s Book Trailers (Day 1)

I was so excited when Mrs. Hamblin (Librarian at Carver) asked me to co-teach two lessons with her on Windows Movie Maker. I myself have created a few movies using WMM but I hadn’t branched out and attempted it with students yet. Ms. Nicholson’s students were going to create their own movie trailers based on novels they had been reading in class. Mrs. Hamblin made similar trailers last year using iMovie however with the Dell change she wanted extra hands to tackle this new program! I was so excited to try this with her. This week our goal was to sketch out our storyboard, located images to use in our movie, and draft our text, titles and credits. Next week we will transfer everything into Windows Movie Maker, add transitions and titles and put music to our trailer. Check back next week for our finished projects! Here’s a short video of Ms. Nicholson’s students hard at work drafting their trailers!
