Digital Books at Johnson Elementary

I was excited when Mrs. Clever invited me into her classroom to create digital books. Her students have been studying the sun, moon and earth. This week they had written their own short non-fiction stories about the sun. Mrs. Clever was looking for a way to turn these paper-pencil books into digital masterpieces! I was excited to collaborate with her on this project so I quickly suggested we use Educreations on the iPads. We started by creating our title page, adding our text, illustrating each page and then recording ourselves reading the books. Finally we published them to the web so that Mrs. Clever’s class could access them from multiple devices! Great job 1st graders!
