This week Mrs. Gilmartin and Mrs. Hall invited me into their 2nd grade classrooms to do a lesson on Habitats. A few weeks ago I traveled to Glen Allen Elementary with Mr. C and Mrs. Smith and they introduced me to both of the programs that I used for this lesson.
The 2nd graders at Echo Lake started our lesson by creating a virtual Habitat using Habitat Maker.
After our habitats were finished we took screen shots and partnered up to use CoSketch. Each pair of children uploaded their images onto their CoSketch whiteboard and then labeled their image with key vocabulary related to Habitats. Check out these images from their CoSketch whiteboards.
