Ms. Hamner (1st grade @ Johnson Elementary) asked me to come in a run one of her small group stations today! She wanted the kids to become comfortable on an app where they could practice their word study sorts. I searched through the apps already on our iPads and decided on the Sticky app! Students started by sorting their word study words, then we jumped on the iPads and practiced typing their words and sorting within the app. Sticky allows you to change the font, color and background for the words you type. It also has a camera feature so some groups added their own image or took a picture of their headers. When they were finished they took a screen shot of their sort and used the simple work collector to send me their images. Check out a few of their samples!
