Greater Gator

The 2nd grade students have been working on “greater than”, “less than”, and “equal to” to the hundreds place. I placed this flipchart into server shortcuts so students could easily access their own copy of the Greater Gator flipchart. On the flipchart, they clicked on the dice & selected 3 dice. This is how the 2 numbers to the hundreds place were generated. Students used the drag a copy numbers at the top of the screen to form their 2 numbers for comparison. Next students selected the correct alligator, or the equal sign, to complete the comparison statement. Finally, students clicked on the microphone and recorded themselves reading the mathematical statement they created (ie. 427 is less than 683). Students repeated these steps on the remaining slides. At the end of the class period, they saved the flipchart to their desktop and used the Simple Work Collector to send the completed flipchart to their teacher. The finished flip charts showed up in a folder in the teacher’s Google Drive.
