I found a willing participant to test out the Lego Builder App today! We started off by having students log into their Henrico Google accounts so we could access the Store. The teacher and I went to each students machine and searched for the Lego Builder App to add to the student’s Apps page in Chrome. Once this free app is added, it will always show as an option when the student selects Apps from the top left hand corner of the Google Chrome screen. Students were directed to open the app and create a single layer shape using the available Lego pieces. Students were allowed to create any shape they wanted as long as they could tell us the area and perimeter for their shape. Once their shapes were complete, they used the snipping tool to take a picture of the shape they created. The posted their picture of their shape and the area and perimeter of that shape to the Padlet that the teacher created.
