The student’s in Mrs. Milwit’s kindergarten class took the iPads with them on their field trip to the Hanover Plant & Vegetable Farm. On the trip, the chaperones assisted students with taking pictures of the different stages of the pumpkin life cycle. They were looking for seeds, sprouts (of which there weren’t any in late October), yellow flowers, green pumpkins, and orange pumpkins. When the students got back to school, they used Chatterpix on the iPad to bring the pumpkin life cycle to LIFE! Students were able to add a mouth, eyes, and even accessories to the pictures of the different stages of the pumpkin life cycle. They also recorded their voice explaining each part of the life cycle. Their finished video clips were saved to the camera roll and sent to Dropbox so Mrs. Milwit could put the video clips together into a Pumpkin Life Cycle movie for each group.
