Thanks to my awesome mentor Julie Smith I have a new and exciting resource to share with you….KAHOOT! Kahoot! is a classroom response system which creates an engaging learning space, through a game-based digital pedagogy.
Teachers are eligible for a free account. Sign up, watch a “how to” video, browse through ready-made assessments or create your own! Today I tested it out on two 3rd grade classes and we had a blast! Students can access Kahoot! using a laptop, tablet, iPad, iPod, etc. It’s an awesome resource that your students will love.
When you are ready to test this resource out with your students you will load the quiz and project it using your Promethean Board or beam projector. Questions will appear on the teacher’s screen and the student’s devices will be turned into a response system. The children will see only the answer choices on their screen! It really does take some concentration and focus to find the answer on the screen and duplicate it using their own device!
