Today I got to see the final product from last week’s lesson in Mrs. Albis’ class. Each child wrote a description about himself/herself before I came in. When it came time for the technology lesson, I came in and showed them how to use Vocaroo.com to record themselves reading their description and turn their recording into a QR Code. Then they printed out their QR Codes. Mrs. Albis took a picture of each child, printed them out, had the children glue their QR Code to their body to make it look like they were holding the QR code in their hands, and then used a clip to have the picture free standing. She put these out for Back to School Night and had mini iPods available for parents to scan and listen to the children telling about themselves. Look how cute they turned out:

Even if Back to School Night has passed, consider doing this for a book report project, Famous American project, biographies, etc.!
