Pinterest Provokes INTEREST in VA Regions!

Mrs. Waggoner’s 4th grade class worked on one gigantic Google Presentation centered around Pinterest. Each child was assigned a slide that had a template of Pinterest as the background. The students selected a region of their choice to find images using the image search feature in Google Presentation/Slides and then wrote a little “Pinterest description”. The webcams were not working on this particular set of laptops; therefore, please ignore the George Washington icon by their name. These slides are still in the works, but here is a sneak peak of a few who are on the right track (Can you tell which region they chose?):

This Pinterest activity could apply to many content areas and topics: Famous Americans, Matter, Parts of Speech, Author’s Purpose, Economics, etc.. To take it to the next level, it would be fun to hyperlink each image to another slide and design the new slide to mimic a website all about the picture that was selected!
