Ms. Aveson at Echo Lake Elementary wanted to have a fun activity that could incorporate reviewing some plants parts all while reviewing some Famous Americans as well. I came up with making this ActivInspire Template and also decided to throw in some measurement practice too!
The students have to find the leaves that have “fallen off” of each plant’s stem into the grass. Once they find a leaf in the grass, they have to drag it to the correct Famous American Flower. After the students finish sorting the leaves onto the correct flower and stem, the student go to Tools–>Math Tools–>Ruler. Using the built in ruler in ActivInspire, the students measure the length of each flower and flower pot. Have Fun!
