Henrico County is going through a new RFP (Request for Proposals) process right now. No, I do not know if we are going to keep Macs for next year. My fingers (and toes) are crossed in hopes that we do get to stay with Mac, but we’ll save that conversation for another day.
These old MacBooks are slowly (quickly?) deteriorating in these last few months of having them. We, more than likely, are going to have multiple reminders at the end of the school year in regards to backing up your files, but NOW is the time to do it. If you see one of these type pictures suddenly pop up on your computer, it will be too late, and there will be nothing that can be done! Don’t be the person who loses everything because you didn’t take the time to backup.
So what can you do to back up? Here are a few options:
1. Buy a large Flash Drive and drag files onto it
2. Buy an External Hard Drive and drag files onto it
3. Make a free Dropbox Account and upload files
4. Make a free Box Account and upload files
5. Use your Google Drive Account and upload all your most important documents
There are so many different options and ways to backup your files. All you have to do is make the best and easiest choice for you and make it happen! Don’t forget, just like Lil’ Jon says, “Get Low and Back, Back, Back it Up!”
