Mrs. Bradlee, a 5th grade teacher at Chamberlayne Elementary, invited me to her room the other day to help kick off a research project on Endangered Species. Each of her students chose an endangered species that they were interested in learning about to later create a presentation for their class. In order to drive research in the correct direction, we dropped a Google Document into the class drive. The students pulled up the document on their computers and collaboratively came up with questions that would help prompt their research. Everyone LOVED seeing their friends’ questions pop up on their screen in real time. This document served as a wonderful reference for all students during their research process.
