3rd grade was studying hemispheres and vocabulary such as longitude and latitude as well as grid map and cardinal directions. Since it was October, we decided to decorate pumpkins….using the lines on the pumpkins to show longitude. We added latitude lines to create a grid map. We labeled our directions and then made our pumpkins look cool. They seemed to remember all their terms for some reason.
