QR codes are square scan codes that can display messages or links to a website. QR codes are quick and easy to make. Here are two examples:
There are many uses for QR codes in your classroom.
1. You can have the students work in pairs to answer word problems. The students can then scan a QR code for the answer.
2. Record your instructions for reading stations and instead of a student disrupting your reading group, have that student scan a code to reveal the directions.
3. Have your students go on a QR scavenger hunt tied to SOLs.
There are too many applications of QR codes in your classroom to list here. To get started go to this website: http://goqr.me/. To scan these codes you will need a scanner app. You can find many free apps in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
I would love to plan a lesson using QR codes in your classroom. Click here to sign up for a lesson.
