Hello Teachers!
Just letting you know – I will be thinking and envious of you all on the 1st day of school.
The first day of school was, by far, one of my most favorite days of the year. I loved pumping kids up for what was going to be an awesome year in the classroom with me. Those kids couldn’t keep up with me. I was all over the place jumping on desks, getting kids moving all over the room, and preparing them for the most exciting year of school ever!
Last year was a little rough for me. Granted, I was wild and crazy with excitement at Johnson Elementary on the 1st day welcoming students to school, but I felt like something was missing not having my own class family. Things got much better as the year went on, but I will never forget that first day without my own little friends.
With that being said, get out there and have some fun tomorrow! Welcome those students to the classroom with enthusiasm and passion. Get those students started on the right foot. Make it a day they will never forget! If you’re over at Carver Elementary, you might see me jumping into some classrooms and just start team teaching about class procedures and school rules, so I can get my “first day fix.” Make today awesome!
