Relative Location

Mrs. Mawyer’s kindergarten students at Ashe used a map grid to practice relative location terms. After navigating to the requested sticker folder, in this case Easter, students placed stickers according to verbal directions. They were asked, for instance, to put the bunny to the right of the house. After placing the stickers where they were asked, they got to place the black jelly bean wherever they chose. Then they added a text box and wrote a sentence describing where they put the jelly bean. The link to the template is below if you’d like to do this activity with your students.
