I began my day with a group of five students from the multi-aged first/second grade class that I helped in a small group. We worked on typing their stories about making a cake in Pages. They had some very interesting stories about how you should make a cake. They were very interesting. Once the students finished their stories, they added pictures. Ms. Brady’s third graders worked on Greece and Rome pictures. They each chose a picture and wrote sentences as if they visited one of those cities. They learned how to use the spell check feature to edit their writing in Pixie.
Ms. Hanks’ first graders worked in Pixie to create a snow writing page. Each student wrote a sentence about snow and illustrated it in Pixie. They did a wonder ful job!
Ms. Jackson’s second grade students did a Pixie sort about the First American Tribes. We worked on the Sioux, Powhatan, and Pueblo tribes. The students also found stickers to help classify each tribe. You can download the templates below.
