Nancy McKeon’s second graders at Crestview know where the rivers and mountains are the United States! Using a Pixie template of the United States, the students used the paint and drawing tool to draw the map symbols of the rivers and mountains and then labeled each one using the textbox tool! In the process, I also showed them how to change the size, font, style, color, and alignment of their text. Although we didn’t have time to finish when I was there, Mrs. McKeon will followup with allowing them to finish very soon.
