The third graders at Longan Elementary used AppleWorks database to complete records dealing with various animals. The students started by dragging in a picture of their animal, then they reported information about the animal. They included what type of eater they were, what they ate, the animals habitat, and it’s adaptations, along with a few other bit sof information. Most students were able to complete three records and then they were shown how they can sort through the collected information. They really seemed to have a good time working through the database.
