Summary
Students worked in groups to create sections of a class website that provides essential information about a range of famous and influential Hispano-Americans. Once created, students would visit sections created by their classmates to review the resources and comment on the information and its presentation.

This project is in the Approaching range for Research & Information Fluency. Students used Google Docs and Sites to collect and present information that would be used by other classmates. The teacher provided a model for the type of type of research and information students should be providing.
This project is in the Approaching range for Communication & Collaboration. Students formed teams to conduct research and used Google Docs and Sites to collaborate. The teacher designed the structure of the site and set specific challenges for groups to overcome and encouraged the use of specific tools, but then allowed students to collaborate without direct supervision.
This project is in the Developing range for Communication & Collaboration. Students had to think critically about the research they conducted in order to decide what to present and in what manner. The teacher provided clear guidelines for that investigation.
This project is in the Developing range for Creativity & Innovation. Through the assignment, the teacher provided an opportunity for students to make connections with contemporary issues. Students, working within specific guidelines, questioned and summarized material they found in their research to create new sources of information.
