Salute
This is a fun game to help practice math facts. You need at least three to play. Here is what you do:
- Sort a deck of cards and remove all non-number cards.
- All “players” sit facing each other. The “dealer” passes out one card to each “player” face down. No PEEKING at the card!
- When the “dealer” says “Salute”, both “players” raise their card to their forehead without looking. The “dealer” then gives the “players” the sum of the two numbers.
- When told the sum and then looking at the other “player’s” card, the “players” must figure out the MISSING ADDEND – in other words, what card they have on their forehead. The first player to figure out the missing addend and yell out the answer wins both cards!
- The game continues until the cards are all gone. Then, switch “players” and “dealers”and play again!
