We are thrilled to announce that our super-amazing and generous PTA has made it possible for us to welcome author Bethany Hegedus, on Tuesday, April 5th. Her debut picture book, Grandfather Gandhi is co-authored with Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, and illustrated by Evan Turk. This beautiful story provides an accessible connection to our habitudes for all our students, and we are excited to continue the discussion of how what we do each day DOES make a difference. Students in grades K-5 will have the opportunity to hear her speak about her work, writing, and her experiences with Arun Ghandi. Students in kindergarten, first, and 2nd grade will also have the opportunity to enter to win a seat at the author lunch chat prior to the first session. bbgb, our local bookshop and business partner, is offering another opportunity to meet the author at their shop in Carytown at 7 p.m. on April 4th.
