What a FANTASTIC first week of school! I have really enjoyed getting to know each student more. I can’t wait to see what this year has to bring! It’s going to be AWESOME!

A LOOK INTO ROOM 8:
We kicked the school year off with a week full of getting to know each other and establishing a positive, safe environment! Each morning we held joint meetings with Miss Capano’s class to discuss our Essential 3 and the character trait of the month (Respect). Be sure to ask your student what the Essential 3 are and how we are working towards a whole class reward through character!
To break up our days, we shared family photos for our #family wall, popped balloons to learn about classroom routines, took brain breaks, explored the classroom libraries in our room & Miss Capano’s room, and built our team building skills with STEAM activities. - BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT:
- We hope that you will all be able to join us for Back to School night on Tuesday from 6:00-7:30. There is LOTS to share about the exciting year ahead, so I hope to see you in Room 8!
- Fall After-School Enrichment October 3-November 7:
We are partnering with vendors to provide an opportunity for students to enjoy an enrichment experience each Wednesday from 2:20-3:20. Five programs will be offered-Flag Football, Sports Spectacular, Cheer-IT Spir-IT and Jump Rope, Edible Education, and STARZ Hip Hop and Jazz. Please check your child’s grey folder and our school website for more information about our enrichment programs. Online enrollment is open now.
It’s going to be a GREAT year! I look forward to all the memories that we are going to make in Room 8!
