Grade Level(s): Grade 3

Content Area(s): Science, Language Arts

Lesson Summary

As part of their animal unit, third graders research an animal of interest to them, noting the animal’s adaptations and habitat. After seeing a video of someone interviewing an animal, they expressed the desire to make their own. Each student drafts and revises his or her own script. Using the Green Screen app DoInk, they film themselves asking their animal questions about its lifestyle, while in the animal’s habitat. Then, they use the app ChatterKids to record their voice as the animal answering those same questions. Finally, using WeVideo, they place alternating video files together, added titles, credits, and music to create their final product!
