Lesson Summary

Students researched presidents and their first ladies, choosing three and focusing on one. Graphic organizers were completed with facts about a person of choice. Then, students participated in a Nearpod to visit different monuments and uncover reasons monuments were constructed in specific ways to honor famous Americans. Students drafted monuments of their selection and discussed why the person they chose deserved a monument.
