Wk of 2/17

We kicked off this awesome week with a super fun STEAM day on Monday.  It turns out that there was a major break-in at the local museum, and many of the featured exhibits were stolen or destroyed!  Students were challenged to create museum exhibits to replace the ones that were lost.  The catch was that had to be of museum quality, meaning that they were informative, accurate, and interactive.  Teams used Scratch (a computer coding program) to code circuit boards that they embedded into their projects.  When museum goers pressed on different buttons, they learned all about the project.  Check out the photos of the amazing projects below!

A HUGE Thank You to Ms. White for volunteering in our classroom this week.  Everyone enjoyed working on their affixes of the week with her!

What else did we work on this week?

Science: 3 states of matter

Math: Variables (Continued)

Reading: Cause and Effect (One of the Organizational Patterns of Text)

Social Studies: North East Region of the US (Continued)

Have a wonderful weekend!
